Job Description: Test Engineer
Stanley Associates (wholly owned subsidiary of CGI Federal) is looking for a Test Engineer to work in our San Diego, CA location. The successful candidate will join a team and provide testing and engineering support for a Joint military C4I system. Duties include:
- Create and execute software and system test protocols
- Analyze, develop, maintain, implement, and document script programs to interpret and evaluate software performance
- Use testing automation software such as Test Complete or similar tools.
- Develop automated test scripts and software tools that are reusable and extensible, to enhance and automate software verification.
- Translation of high-level test requirements into reliable, repeatable, and maintainable test script programs.
- Analyze test results to identify and address technical challenges.
- Conduct and participate in specification, design, and code reviews
- Work with systems, software, and hardware engineers to investigate software, hardware, and system problems using a variety of testing techniques
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent and 5 years of experience. High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 9 years of directly related work experience required.
- Use of automated testing tools, testing methodologies and scripting languages, preferably Java/C/C++ and VBScript or Perl, and writing automated test programs and scripts.
- Embedded HW systems
- HW test equipment
- Software development or testing
- Object Oriented design/programming
- NAVY, DOD, or military systems experience
- In-depth knowledge of the Windows and Unix operating systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks
- Familiar with virtual machines and storage.
- Familiarity with emerging Military/Navy Communications systems and technologies
- Capability to effectively communicate with engineers, leads, and managersAdditional Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
- Possession of an ACTIVE TOP SECRET security clearance with a Special Clearance Investigation is required to begin employment; US Citizenship is required.
- Certified Information Assurance Technician Level 2 (IAT2).
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Some travel required in support of customer requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Desired
Knowledge of or experience with Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC), Joint Space Operations Center (JSPOC), JSPOC Mission System (JMS) or related space command and control operations/systems.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
Certification as an automated test engineer is preferred.
