<item><title>Passport Processing Supervisor - Tucson Passport Center Job (Tucson, AZ, US)</title><description><![CDATA[<b>Job Order:</b> J0413-0581 - Permanent Full Time<br/><b>Title:</b> Passport Processing Supervisor - Tucson Passport Center<br/><b><b>Category:</b></b> Consulting / Business / Functional<br/><b><b>City:</b></b> Tucson, Arizona, United States<br/><br/><b>Job Description:</b> Passport Processing Supervisor - Tucson Passport Center<br/><br/>The Tucson Passport Center is looking for a Passport Processing Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of the mailroom, cashiering, book print/card print, and quality control.<br/><br/>Principle Duties and Responsibilities:<br/>Principle duties and responsibilities include: Setting work priorities and assuring a smooth transition of all work between the various departments, interpreting policies and procedures, and establishing goals for subordinates. Trains Quality Control Clerks in work procedures, regulations, and proper postal requirements and assigns and reviews work of team members. Leads a department of Quality Control Clerks in verifying the accuracy of passport books/cards, quality of workmanship, and ensuring the proper delivery of passports to applicants. Manages the completed Issued Application room and ensures applications are properly filed and ready to transfer to Washington, DC. Monitors subordinate employee's production for timeliness, quality and quantity. Ensures employees are informed of changes in postal regulations and policy and procedures of the department. Responsible for the operation of the automated Paragon postage machine and the coordination of all mail pick-ups by both the Postal Service and private carriers. Interfaces with the Processing Section Manager and the Government Passport Specialist/Adjudication Supervisor.<br/><br/>Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:<br/>Basic personal computer skills, minimum of six (6) years of progressive supervisory experience in an office environment, demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize simultaneous work flow duties, minimum of two (2) years experience in quality control, document examination experience, and knowledge of postal regulations and demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.<br/><br/>Additional Requirements:<br/>Shift schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm with pre-shift preparation beginning at 6 am. Work week is Monday-Friday with predicted over-time most Saturdays from January-June (6 months) during the year. Must be able to lift and transport up to 35lbs.<br/><br/>Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:<br/>Minimum of four (4) years experience in Government management and experience working in an environment involving PC hardware and software, including LANs and WANs.
