Nurse Auditors may be required to travel for additional training and on-site reviews on an as-needed basis. The Clinical Audit Manager will ensure the team achieves production metrics that meet or exceed financial goals for each recovery audit project while at the same meeting or exceeding quality standards in terms of low appeal overturn rates and cancellations. To accomplish these objectives, the Clinical Audit Manager must be knowledgeable of provider reimbursement methodologies, health insurance claims coding for hospital outpatient, professional, DME home health, hospice and other provider types as well as ability to identify and recover improperly paid claims. The Clinical Audit Manager will furnish coding direction and guidance for outpatient, professional, DME, home health, hospice and other allied provider types. Training on all aspects of the auditor job responsibilities for new members as well as current members that in need performance improvement will also be integral aspects of this role. The Clinical Audit Manager will also be responsible for assisting in recuiting additional qualified members as the team grows.
